Apologies for the long shadows, this was taken at the end of the day. A typical dry creek bed campspot. Really, you're not supposed to camp in creek beds as one never knows when a flash flood might come along and sweep you away. But they are one of the most excellent places ever. They're at least 10 degrees cooler than the surrounds and they have trees and shade and birds.
